Thinking about applying to Charis Bible College Walsall?
The full-time Day School Programme is one of the ways to study at Charis Walsall.
Charis Bible College believes in the importance of academic studies, but those who are going into the ministry must know how to minister! We strive for a balance between knowledge of Scripture and practical ministry experiences. The Day School Programme offers the full two year curriculum for first and second years of Charis and the full Third Year Leadership Programme. These courses runs from Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm.
Become grounded in the Word!
Before the practical aspects of ministry can be explored, it is very important that each student has a firm foundation in the Word of God. This includes: the understanding of God’s unconditional love, the balance between grace and faith, relationship with God, Healing, the basics of righteousness, the Holy Spirit, prosperity, Bible covenants, Old Testament, and much more. See sample module descriptions here.
Upon successful completion of the first-year programme, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible to enter the Second-year Programme.
Practical Training Programme
In the second year, the emphasis moves to practical ministry. In small interaction groups, students learn to do the work of the ministry. They learn to conduct weddings, funerals, and baby dedications. They also learn to prepare and deliver messages.
Second-year students are also required to take part in a mission trip. Although students may not pay for the trip directly, it becomes a practical training opportunity for them to raise money for their mission trips. Students remember these trips as life-changing events and the highlight of their college experience. The duration of mission trips varies from seven days to three weeks in length. Trips are scheduled throughout the academic year and require students to minister through teaching, evangelism, prayer, drama to both adults and children. Locations change from year to year based on host and scheduling restrictions. Previous locations included: Mauritius, Brazil, Jamaica, Philippines, Czech Republic, Norway, Bulgaria, Hungary, Scotland, Belfast, Harrogate, Manchester and Cardiff.
